ABOUT THE ARTIST
I create bold acrylic portraits that explore the complexities of modern womanhood. Rooted in personal experience, my work reflects on themes of identity, independence, and self-definition. I often paint myself as a way to process and navigate my own inner life, using the act of portraiture as a tool for growth and reflection.
Drawing inspiration from the emotional intensity of Fauvism and the graphic clarity of Pop Art, I work in rich, saturated colors to create intimate, psychologically charged scenes. Everyday domestic objects — cups, hair ties, sunglasses — appear alongside figures as emotional artifacts, blurring the line between environment and self.
While my paintings are deeply personal, they gesture toward a shared experience — particularly among women — of carving out space to exist privately, authentically, and without performance.
Originally from Maryland, I now live and work in San Francisco.
